The ECEDHA Foundation has a storied history matching the ECEDHA organization. We look forward to a productive and healthy future as we guide, support and fund significant education programming activities to further the advancement of electrial and computre engineering.

Our Timeline
1963 Non-Profit organization established as the Association of Electrical Engineering Department Heads (AEEDH)
1985 Inaugural Annual Conference
1986 Transitioned to NEEDHA (National Electrical Engineering Department Heads Association)
1992 Awards Programs Introduced
2001 Name changed to ECEDHA, reflecting the inclusion of Computer Engineering
2003 Partnership with NSF begins with ECEDHA's first funded workshop
2010 Introduction of the ECExpo at the ECEDHA Annual Conference marks the beginning of industry participation
2012 ECEDHA Community expanded to include all ECE faculty and staff
Diversity Award introduced
2013 ECEDHA Interactive Survey unveiled
Corporate Membership Program and Corporate Advisory Council introduced
ECE Media Program launched
2014 30th Anniversary of the ECEDHA Annual Conference celebrated
Industry Award Introduced
2015 ECEDHA Foundation established
2017 Makers Demo established on the ECExpo floor to showcase university artifacts
Inaugural gathering of ECE Communicators at the Annual Conference
2018 ECEDHA program expands to include a Robotics Demo on the ECExpo floor
ECEDHA begins hosting workshops for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs)
2019 Lab Professionals track added to the Annual Conference
ECEDHA unveils a new logo
2020 Virtual ECEDHA Summit Series is established
ECEDHA pivots to 100% virtual services and benefits due to COVID-19, providing members with over 500 hours of digital content and resources
2021 Name Change to ECE Foundation in 2021
